 Newsletter – Spring Term, Week 11 Dear Parents, This week, the children explored the topic of Easter. We talked about why Christians celebrate Easter and discussed some of the traditions associated with it. The children took part in a variety of arts and crafts activities. They made Easter cards, bunny baskets, Easter eggs, and Easter bags. ###Vocabulary Focus Key vocabulary covered this week included: Easter, Jesus, resurrection, bunny, eggs, chocolate, chicken, Easter hunt, and community. ###Group Time Highlights During group discussions, we watched an Easter video and focused on the meaning of Easter for Christians. • The children participated in singing “Sleep Little Bunny.” • In Mathematics, they continued learning about shapes. • In Phonics, the letter E for Easter was introduced. • We read the story “The Little Chicken” and another book about the Easter Bunny. ###Montessori Activities The children worked with the zip button board, which helps to develop fine...

 Newsletter – Spring Term, Week 10 Dear Parents, This week, the children explored the topics of Health and Hygiene, alongside activities related to St Patrick’s Day. They were introduced to the importance of personal hygiene, including handwashing, dental care, and maintaining a clean environment.  Newsletter  Spring Term - Week 9 Dear Parents, This week’s theme was Mother’s Day. We talked with the children about mums and how to make them happy. The children made Mother’s Day cards and a rose for their mums. Vocabulary Focus This week we introduced and explored the following words: Mother, hug, love, help, patient, strong, kind, etc. ###Group Time Highlights During group time, we talked about the importance of helping mum at home and giving her a bit of rest sometimes. • We sang the “Happy Mother’s Day” song. • In Maths, the children worked on a number line, putting numbers in order. • In Phonics, we introduced the letter M for mother. • We read the story “5 Minutes’ Peace”, which explains to children that sometimes mums need a little rest. ###Montessori Activity During Montessori time, we worked on Practical Life activities. Ciao Ciao Newsletter – Spring Term, Week 8 Dear Parents, This week’s theme was Healthy Food. We explained to the children the difference between healthy food and junk food. The children also made strawberry, banana, and grape crafts (adding black dots to the strawberries) to help develop their fine motor skills and hand control. ### Vocabulary Focus This week we introduced and explored the following words:   healthy food, junk food, strawberries, grapes, bananas, watermelon, hot dogs, cupcakes, tomatoes, pizza, tangerines, oranges, apples, and more. ### Group Time Highlights During group time, we talked about the importance of eating healthy food. We explained that some foods such as chocolate, cupcakes, cake, hot dogs, and sausages are considered junk food. They created two beautiful artworks: a painted Chinese fan and a lantern, where they practised their cutting skills.  Ciao Ciao Newsletter Spring Term – Week 6 Dear Parents, This week our theme was St. Valentine’s Day. The children painted using heart stencils and made a beautiful heart-shaped pizza with a special message for their parents. They also explored heart line painting, developing their fine motor skills and creativity. Reception children has started the red book for reception preparation.  Ciao Ciao Newsletter  Spring Term – Week 5 Dear Parents, This week our theme was “The Body.”   Children explored this topic through creative, hands-on activities that supported language development, physical coordination, and early scientific understanding. They built a Mrs Potato Head body, encouraging discussion about body parts and where they belong. Children also drew the human body using a large poster for reference, helping them observe details and proportions.
