 Newsletter – Spring Term, Week 11 Dear Parents, This week, the children explored the topic of Easter. We talked about why Christians celebrate Easter and discussed some of the traditions associated with it. The children took part in a variety of arts and crafts activities.  Newsletter – Spring Term, Week 10 Dear Parents, This week, the children explored the topics of Health and Hygiene, alongside activities related to St Patrick’s Day. They were introduced to the importance of personal hygiene, including handwashing, dental care, and maintaining a clean environment. As part of our St Patrick’s Day activities, the children created four-leaf clovers and themed hats. ###Vocabulary Focus Key vocabulary covered this week included: clean, wash, health, soap, toothpaste, brush, hygiene, tidy up. ###Group Time Highlights During group discussions, we watched a St Patrick video and focused on how good hygiene supports health and safety. • The children participated in singing the “Bath Song.” • In Mathematics, they continued developing their understanding of number lines and sequencing. • In Phonics, the letter P was introduced. • The story “I Want My Tooth” supported learning about dental hygiene and development. ###Montessori Activities Childr...

 Newsletter  Spring Term - Week 9 Dear Parents, This week’s theme was Mother’s Day. We talked with the children about mums and how to make them happy. The children made Mother’s Day cards and a rose for their mums. Vocabulary Focus This week we introduced and explored the following words: Mother, hug, love, help, patient, strong, kind, etc. ###Group Time Highlights During group time, we talked about the importance of helping mum at home and giving her a bit of rest sometimes. • We sang the “Happy Mother’s Day” song. • In Maths, the children worked on a number line, putting numbers in order. • In Phonics, we introduced the letter M for mother. • We read the story “5 Minutes’ Peace”, which explains to children that sometimes mums need a little rest. ###Montessori Activity During Montessori time, we worked on Practical Life activities. Ciao Ciao Newsletter – Spring Term, Week 8 Dear Parents, This week’s theme was Healthy Food. We explained to the children the difference between healthy food and junk food. The children also made strawberry, banana, and grape crafts (adding black dots to the strawberries) to help develop their fine motor skills and hand control. ### Vocabulary Focus This week we introduced and explored the following words:   healthy food, junk food, strawberries, grapes, bananas, watermelon, hot dogs, cupcakes, tomatoes, pizza, tangerines, oranges, apples, and more. ### Group Time Highlights During group time, we talked about the importance of eating healthy food. We explained that some foods such as chocolate, cupcakes, cake, hot dogs, and sausages are considered junk food. We discussed that these foods may taste nice but eating too much of them can make us feel unwell or give us a stomach ache.  Newsletter Spring Term – Week 7 Dear parents, This week’s theme was Chinese New Year. The children explored this special celebration through hands-on learning and creative activities. They created two beautiful artworks: a painted Chinese fan and a lantern, where they practised their cutting skills. We also watched a short video to learn more about how Chinese New Year is celebrated around the world. ### Vocabulary Focus   This week, we introduced and explored the following words:   Chinese New Year, culture, dragon, envelope, fireworks, spring rolls, dumplings, fortune, crackle, luck, and more. ### Group Time Highlights   During group time: - We danced to a Chinese song.   - In Maths, we matched Chinese envelopes to numbers on a number line.   - In Phonics, we introduced the letter N for New.   - We read the story “Lunar New Year” ### Montessori Activity   In the tray, we prepared a Chinese-themed activity with decorations and containers filled ...
