Newsletter Summer Term, Week 1

       Ciao Ciao Newsletter: Summer Term, Week 1 Dear Parents, 😊 Our topic for the next two weeks will be  “Science” ! This week, the children explored three fun experiments with colours: • They coloured paper sheets and created a rainbow by dipping the paper into water. • For the second experiment, they collected flowers, smashed the petals, and made natural paint! . the children used  polystyrene  and attached it with water during an activity. During group time, we read the story of  “Cinderella” , sang nursery rhymes, we talked about insect, and continued practicing numbers from 1 to 10. Our Montessori activity for the week was  learning how to lace shoes . Newsletter Spring Term 2025 - Week 12

This week’s theme was “Eid Mubarak.” The children made lanterns and moons to celebrate. During group time, we read the book “Daddy Pig Lost His Keys,” sang rhyming songs, and continued our exercises with numbers 1 to 10. Our Montessori activity this week was cutting. On Monday, for our Italian lesson, the children practiced an Italian song. ⭐️ On Tuesday, for cooking, we made moon biscuits. 🌙 On Wednesday, we organized an Easter Egg Hunt. The children were very excited to collect chocolate eggs and find the bunny! Afterward, they counted all the eggs they had collected and divided them into baskets. 🐰 On Thursday, during computer science, we practiced using the mouse by making a marmalade tart. We are still working on using eye movements to control the mouse. 🖥️ On Friday, for Drama, we worked on recognizing and coping with facial expressions. Newsletter Spring Term 2025 - Week 11

Dear Parents, This week’s theme was “Easter and Mother’s Day.” The children made Mother’s Day cards, a paper rose, and a paper bouquet of flowers. For Easter, they painted a rabbit and made a basket for our Easter Egg Hunt. We will continue with Easter decorations next week. During group time, we read the book “How to Catch the Easter Bunny”, sang nursery rhymes, and continued practicing numbers 1 to 10. For phonics, we introduced the letter “A.” • Monday (Italian Lesson): We learned the song “Giro, Giro Tondo.” ⭐️ • Tuesday (Cooking): The children made Chocolate Easter Nests.  • Wednesday (Forest School): The children collected leaves and sticks to build a bunny’s home. 🐰 • Thursday (Computer Science): We practiced using the mouse by coloring a virtual drawing. Newsletter Spring Term 2025 - Week 10

Dear Parents,  😊 This week’s topic was “St. Patrick’s Day’’. It’s a celebration of Irish Country, three-leaf clover, or shamrock, is the symbol. Traditionally the food is the pancake. Children made shamrock card and they watched a video on St. Patrick day. We talked about this day at group time and continue with our animal and colour exercise. We also introduced numbers from 1 to 10 for maths. On Monday for Italian lesson we learned the words Mani, Piede and Testa (hands,foot, head)⭐️ 🇭🇺 On Tuesday at cooking we prepared pancakes to celebrate St. Patrick day.  🥞  On Wednesday for Forest school the children collected some leaves and painted the shamrock.☘️  On Thursday for computer science we practice how to use the mouse colouring a virtual drawing. Newsletter Spring Term 2024 - Week 9

Dear Parents,  😊 This week’s topic was “animals’’..  We talked about  animals, we watched a funny video on Panda and played what’s in the bag. Children drawn a giraffe and made a mask with Shabina. Semhar organised some painting with their hands. Part of our Montessori activities this week was pouring water from the jug to the cups. At group time we continue to learn colour, adding white. On Monday for Italian lesson we learned the Ciao Ciao song.⭐️ On Tuesday at cooking we prepared Italian bacio made with biscuits and chocolate. On Wednesday for Forest school the children planted some bulbs in our garden. On Thursday for computer science we started to use the mouse. On Friday for Drama we acted a Donkey story with puppets. Newsletter Spring Term - Week 8

 Dear Parents, 😊 This week, the weather was amazing, so we spent a lot of time working outside. The children did a great job following the nursery routine! Our topic this week was “All About Me.” We talked about their families, their favorite activities, and what they do after school. The children also drew self-portraits while looking in a mirror and created family trees. During group time, we continued learning about colors, adding orange and purple to our vocabulary. For our art session, the children made a fluffy tree with Shabina and bunny ears with Semhar. Our book of the week was Cuddle Me, which we read together during group time, acting out the story with different teddies. On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day! The children came dressed up in wonderful costumes, and we encouraged them to explore and enjoy books throughout the day. Thank you for your continued support! Newsletters Spring Term 2025 - Week 7

Dear Parents, I hope you’re all doing well! This week was our settling-in period, so we haven’t started following the curriculum yet. However, the children did a fantastic job adapting to the nursery routine. Our theme for the week was “Colours”, and we explored white, green, red, blue, and yellow. The children created a beautiful heart-shaped colour collage and made sparkling flour using different colours. We also had daily group time with storytelling and fun activities, including exercises with colour and animal cards. Reminders & Important Dates: • Thursday, 6th March – World Book Day: Children should dress up as their favourite book character and bring their favourite book. • Monday, 23rd March – Puppet Show at Ciao Ciao.
