Newsletter Spring Term 2025 - Week 12

This week’s theme was “Eid Mubarak.”

The children made lanterns and moons to celebrate.

During group time, we read the book “Daddy Pig Lost His Keys,” sang rhyming songs, and continued our exercises with numbers 1 to 10. Our Montessori activity this week was cutting.

On Monday, for our Italian lesson, the children practiced an Italian song. ⭐️

On Tuesday, for cooking, we made moon biscuits. 🌙

On Wednesday, we organized an Easter Egg Hunt. The children were very excited to collect chocolate eggs and find the bunny! Afterward, they counted all the eggs they had collected and divided them into baskets. 🐰

On Thursday, during computer science, we practiced using the mouse by making a marmalade tart. We are still working on using eye movements to control the mouse. 🖥️

On Friday, for Drama, we worked on recognizing and coping with facial expressions. The children had lots of fun! 🤩

We will be returning to school on Tuesday, April 22nd.

Newsletter Autumn Term – Week 3

Dear Parents, This week’s theme was Family! The children drew their homes and created their very own family trees. 🌟 Vocabulary Focus This week, we introduced the following words: Mother, father, sister, brother, siblings, grandpa, grandma, and more. 🌟 Group Time Highlights • We read the book Family • Sang nursery rhymes • Practised counting from 1 to 10 • Continued practising colours 🌟 Montessori Activity This week, we explored Montessori activity boards (also known as busy boards). These wonderful educational tools stimulate development through hands-on play. The children especially enjoyed the activity of placing balls into the “ice cream.” 🌟 A Quick Look at Our Week Monday – In Italian, we continued practising the song Se sei felice e lo sai. Tuesday – During cooking, we baked pizzas! The children used delicious ingredients such as tomatoes, mozzarella, salt, basil, cheese, and olive oil. Newsletter Summer Term – Week 7

Ciao Ciao Newsletter Summer Term – Week 7 Dear Parents, This week, we celebrated Father’s Day with lots of love and creativity! The children worked on two special activities: • A Father’s Day card • A Super Dad bookmark We also began practicing for Sports Day —and let’s just say, getting everyone to follow instructions was a workout in itself! 😂 ⸻ Vocabulary Focus: This week, we introduced the words: flying , lying , sad , and grumpy Group Time Highlights: • We read Dogs Can Fly • Sang nursery rhymes • Practiced counting from 1 to 10 • Worked with groups of objects • Learned a fun new numbers song ⸻ Montessori Activity: Our sensory experience this week was a sand pit activity. Ciao Ciao Newsletter Summer Term – Week 5 Dear Parents, Our topic for the week is butterflies . This week, we focused on the butterfly life cycle. The children painted paper butterflies, made caterpillars out of egg boxes, and decorated butterfly stencils. We also watched a BBC video about metamorphosis. We introduced important vocabulary such as: Butterfly, Cocoon, Chrysalis, Metamorphosis During group time, we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar , sang nursery rhymes, practiced counting from 1 to 10, and reviewed the letters A, B, and C. Our Montessori activity this week focused on a practical life skill: washing toys . Here’s a quick look at what we did each day: • Monday – Italian We sang “Farfallina” and practiced our “Ciao Ciao” song. (Farfallina means “butterfly” in Italian.) • Tuesday – Cooking We made bread with rosemary or oregano.
