Newsletter Autumn Term – Week 3

Dear Parents,

This week’s theme was Family!


The children drew their homes and created their very own family trees.

🌟 Vocabulary Focus

This week, we introduced the following words:

Mother, father, sister, brother, siblings, grandpa, grandma, and more.

We read the book Family

Sang nursery rhymes

Practised counting from 1 to 10

Continued practising colours

🌟 Montessori Activity


This week, we explored Montessori activity boards (also known as busy boards). These wonderful educational tools stimulate development through hands-on play. The children especially enjoyed the activity of placing balls into the “ice cream.”

Our Week

Monday – In Italian, we continued practising the song Se sei felice e lo sai.

Tuesday 


– During cooking, we baked pizzas! The children used delicious ingredients such as tomatoes, mozzarella, salt, basil, cheese, and olive oil.

Wednesday – At forest school, we collected leaves and made leafy tiaras.


Thursday – The children had their first experience using a big whiteboard. They were really excited!

Friday (Drama & Music) – We didn’t have a full drama lesson this week, as we welcomed many new children. Instead, we introduced a few new songs.

Newsletter Week 5

  Ciao Ciao Newsletter Summer Term – Week 5 Dear Parents, Our topic for the week is  butterflies . This week, we focused on the butterfly life cycle. The children painted paper butterflies, made caterpillars out of egg boxes, and decorated butterfly stencils. We also watched a BBC video about metamorphosis. We introduced important vocabulary such as: Butterfly, Cocoon, Chrysalis, Metamorphosis During group time, we read  The Very Hungry Caterpillar , sang nursery rhymes, practiced counting from 1 to 10, and reviewed the letters A, B, and C. Our Montessori activity this week focused on a practical life skill:  washing toys . Here’s a quick look at what we did each day: • Monday – Italian We sang “Farfallina” and practiced our “Ciao Ciao” song.  (Farfallina means “butterfly” in Italian.) • Tuesday – Cooking We made bread with rosemary or oregano.
