 Ciao Ciao Newsletter Spring Term – Week 2

Dear Parents,

This week’s theme was Winter Animals.


The children created two beautiful art pieces: a polar bear made using cotton and a snowflake painted with watercolours.

Vocabulary Focus

This week, we introduced and explored the following words:

North Pole, polar bear, Arctic fox, penguin, Arctic owl, iceberg, ice, and more.

Group Time Highlights

We sang the “Polar Bear” song

In maths, we practised matching objects with numbers up to 5

We continued learning the letter W for Winter

We read the story “5 Little Penguins”


Montessori Activity

The children worked on matching polar animal footprints, developing observation and problem-solving skills.

A Quick Look at Our Week

Monday

In Italian, we learned a new song called “Balliamo”.

Tuesday

We cooked coconut cake balls using mashed biscuits, butter, chocolate, and coconut.


Wednesday – Forest School

Children used magnifying glasses to observe polar animal footprints stamped in “ice” (made with white clay). They matched each footprint to the correct animal.

Thursday – Computer Science

Children practised switching toy computers on and off, learning basic cause-and-effect skills.

Friday – Drama & Music

In Drama, children listened to and acted out the story “Serene’s Seasons.”

  Ciao Ciao Newsletter Summer Term – Week 5 Dear Parents, Our topic for the week is  butterflies . This week, we focused on the butterfly life cycle. Newsletter: Summer Term, Week 3

Ciao Ciao Newsletter: Summer Term, Week 3 Dear Parents, Our topic for the next two weeks will be  “Transport”! This week, the children painted two cardboard boxes to make a car and a van. On Friday, they had lots of fun playing inside them! They also made traffic lights and coloured in transport-themed drawings. We played a maths game with toy cars to help develop their numeracy skills. During group time, we read the story of  Poor Old Rabbit  to teach the importance of taking care of toys. We also sang nursery rhymes, talked about transports, and continued practicing numbers from 1 to 10, as well as the letters A, B, and C. Our  Montessori activity  for the week was opening and closing boxes and bottles—great for developing fine motor skills. Newsletter Autumn Term – Week 3

Dear Parents, This week’s theme was Family! The children drew their homes and created their very own family trees. 🌟 Vocabulary Focus This week, we introduced the following words: Mother, father, sister, brother, siblings, grandpa, grandma, and more. 🌟 Group Time Highlights • We read the book Family • Sang nursery rhymes • Practised counting from 1 to 10 • Continued practising colours 🌟 Montessori Activity This week, we explored Montessori activity boards (also known as busy boards). These wonderful educational tools stimulate development through hands-on play.
