Dear Parents,

This week’s theme was Winter Animals.

The children created two beautiful art pieces: a polar bear made using cotton and a snowflake painted with watercolours.

Vocabulary Focus

This week, we introduced and explored the following words:

North Pole, polar bear, Arctic fox, penguin, Arctic owl, iceberg, ice, and more.

Group Time Highlights

We sang the “Polar Bear” song

In maths, we practised matching objects with numbers up to 5

We continued learning the letter W for Winter

We read the story “5 Little Penguins”

Montessori Activity

The children worked on matching polar animal footprints, developing observation and problem-solving skills.

A Quick Look at Our Week

Monday

In Italian, we learned a new song called “Balliamo”.

Tuesday

We cooked coconut cake balls using mashed biscuits, butter, chocolate, and coconut.

Wednesday – Forest School

Children used magnifying glasses to observe polar animal footprints stamped in “ice” (made with white clay). They matched each footprint to the correct animal.

Thursday – Computer Science

Children practised switching toy computers on and off, learning basic cause-and-effect skills.

Friday – Drama & Music

In Drama, children listened to and acted out the story “Serene’s Seasons.”

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to another exciting week of learning together!

Warm regards,

The Ciao Ciao Team ❄️🐧
