Dear Parents,

This week’s theme was Emotions.

The children painted their own facial expressions while looking in the mirror, exploring how emotions can be shown through art.

🌟 Vocabulary Focus

This week, we introduced the following words:

filling, emotion, sad, happy, free, scared, temper, and more.


πŸ“š Group Time Highlights

We read the book “Emotions for Toddlers” and played an emotional spinning game using a plate and peg.

Sang nursery rhymes.

Practised counting from 1 to 10.

Continued practising colours.



🧩 Montessori Activity

This week, our Montessori activity focused on construction.

The children developed their fine motor skills using the hammer, the saw, screw, etc..

πŸ—“ A Quick Look at Our Week

Monday

In Italian, we continued learning the song “Chiudi gli occhi.”

The children had fun hiding behind chairs, knocking, and shouting “Sono io! – It’s me!”

Tuesday

In cooking class, we prepared sandwiches using tomatoes, butter, salad, cheese, and ham.


The children enjoyed cutting vegetables and spreading butter.

Wednesday

During Forest School, we planted our autumn plant. Fabrice from Myatra Field Park kindly donated it to us.

Thursday

The children used the laptop for their first eye–hand coordination exercise, practising with the mouse.

Friday (Drama & Music)

We acted out the book “Why Lose Your Temper?”.

The children copied the characters’ facial expressions, then played the “statues” game—making emotional faces each time the music stopped.

Ciao Ciao Newsletter: Summer Term, Week 3 Dear Parents, Our topic for the next two weeks will be  “Transport”! This week, the children painted two cardboard boxes to make a car and a van. On Friday, they had lots of fun playing inside them! They also made traffic lights and coloured in transport-themed drawings. Newsletter Week 5

  Ciao Ciao Newsletter Summer Term – Week 5 Dear Parents, Our topic for the week is  butterflies . This week, we focused on the butterfly life cycle. The children painted paper butterflies, made caterpillars out of egg boxes, and decorated butterfly stencils. We also watched a BBC video about metamorphosis. We introduced important vocabulary such as: Butterfly, Cocoon, Chrysalis, Metamorphosis During group time, we read  The Very Hungry Caterpillar , sang nursery rhymes, practiced counting from 1 to 10, and reviewed the letters A, B, and C. Our Montessori activity this week focused on a practical life skill:  washing toys . Here’s a quick look at what we did each day: • Monday – Italian We sang “Farfallina” and practiced our “Ciao Ciao” song.  (Farfallina means “butterfly” in Italian.) • Tuesday – Cooking We made bread with rosemary or oregano. Dear Parents, This week’s theme was Family! The children drew their homes and created their very own family trees. 🌟 Vocabulary Focus This week, we introduced the following words: Mother, father, sister, brother, siblings, grandpa, grandma, and more. 🌟 Group Time Highlights • We read the book Family • Sang nursery rhymes • Practised counting from 1 to 10 • Continued practising colours 🌟 Montessori Activity This week, we explored Montessori activity boards (also known as busy boards). These wonderful educational tools stimulate development through hands-on play.
