 Newsletter Autumn Term – Week 2

Dear Parents,

This week’s theme was All About Me!


The children had fun creating their own portraits and shared who is in their family, even making a fun finger family hand drawing. They also filled out "All About Me" profiles, sharing their favorite things. It was a wonderful way for everyone to learn more about each other!

Vocabulary Focus

This week, we introduced the following words:

Boy, girl, colours, animals, nursery, mum, dad, brother, sister, family, sycamore, hazel, grass.

This week, the children practiced cutting paper with scissors to help develop their fine motor skills. It was a fun activity that allowed them to build hand-eye coordination and strengthen their hand muscles.

A Quick Look at Our Week:

Monday

For Italian, we learnt Buongiorno song, the Italian version of “if you happy and you know” (se sei felice e tu lo sai). 

Tuesday


For cooking we made the Italian chocolate called”bacio di dama”. We crushed the digestive biscuits, stirred in some butter and rolled it into a ball and covered it with cocoa powder.





Wednesday


We started our brand new leaf profile book. They collected leaves and learnt their names, which were sycamore, hazel and grass.

Thursday

We had computer science, as our introduction lesson, we named the devices that are used, like laptop, printer, tablet.

Friday (Drama)

We copied and practised different expressions like smiling, crying, thinking and upset. We song songs and practice Italian song.

  Ciao Ciao Newsletter Summer Term – Week 5 Dear Parents, Our topic for the week is  butterflies . This week, we focused on the butterfly life cycle. The children painted paper butterflies, made caterpillars out of egg boxes, and decorated butterfly stencils. We also watched a BBC video about metamorphosis. Newsletter: Summer Term, Week 3

Ciao Ciao Newsletter: Summer Term, Week 3 Dear Parents, Our topic for the next two weeks will be  “Transport”! This week, the children painted two cardboard boxes to make a car and a van. On Friday, they had lots of fun playing inside them! They also made traffic lights and coloured in transport-themed drawings. We played a maths game with toy cars to help develop their numeracy skills. During group time, we read the story of  Poor Old Rabbit  to teach the importance of taking care of toys. We also sang nursery rhymes, talked about transports, and continued practicing numbers from 1 to 10, as well as the letters A, B, and C. Our  Montessori activity  for the week was opening and closing boxes and bottles—great for developing fine motor skills. Newsletter Autumn Term – Week 3

Dear Parents, This week’s theme was Family! The children drew their homes and created their very own family trees. 🌟 Vocabulary Focus This week, we introduced the following words: Mother, father, sister, brother, siblings, grandpa, grandma, and more. 🌟 Group Time Highlights • We read the book Family • Sang nursery rhymes • Practised counting from 1 to 10 • Continued practising colours 🌟 Montessori Activity This week, we explored Montessori activity boards (also known as busy boards). These wonderful educational tools stimulate development through hands-on play. The children especially enjoyed the activity of placing balls into the “ice cream.” 🌟 A Quick Look at Our Week Monday – In Italian, we continued practising the song Se sei felice e lo sai.
