Newsletter Autum Term – Week 4

Dear Parents,

This week’s theme was “People Who Help Us”!


The children had lots of fun exploring the topic and even painted their own fire engine hats.

πŸ—£ Vocabulary Focus

We introduced the following new words:

Policeman, firefighter, teacher, doctor, vet, nurse, and more.

🌟 Group Time Highlights

We read the books “Going to the Doctor” and “Going to the Dentist”.

Matched people who help us with their transport.

Sang nursery rhymes.

Practised counting from 1–10.

Continued practising colours.

This week, our Montessori activities included:

A 3-piece puzzle with people who help us.

A memory game that the children really enjoyed.

*Monday* – In Italian, we learned new words such as polizia and maestro to match our theme.

*Tuesday*


– At cooking, we baked jam tarts. The children used pastry cutters to make circles, added jam, and covered them with a pastry lid.

*Wednesday* – At Forest School, we collected leaves and built a fairy house.

*Thursday* – for computer science The children were excited to use the whiteboard and practise scribbling.

*Friday* (Drama & Music) – We explored expressions, facial exercises, and played a fun “copy the actions” game.

Ciao Ciao Newsletter: Summer Term, Week 3 Dear Parents, Our topic for the next two weeks will be  “Transport”! This week, the children painted two cardboard boxes to make a car and a van. On Friday, they had lots of fun playing inside them! They also made traffic lights and coloured in transport-themed drawings. We played a maths game with toy cars to help develop their numeracy skills. During group time, we read the story of  Poor Old Rabbit  to teach the importance of taking care of toys. Newsletter Week 5

  Ciao Ciao Newsletter Summer Term – Week 5 Dear Parents, Our topic for the week is  butterflies . This week, we focused on the butterfly life cycle. The children painted paper butterflies, made caterpillars out of egg boxes, and decorated butterfly stencils. We also watched a BBC video about metamorphosis. We introduced important vocabulary such as: Butterfly, Cocoon, Chrysalis, Metamorphosis During group time, we read  The Very Hungry Caterpillar , sang nursery rhymes, practiced counting from 1 to 10, and reviewed the letters A, B, and C. Our Montessori activity this week focused on a practical life skill:  washing toys . Here’s a quick look at what we did each day: • Monday – Italian We sang “Farfallina” and practiced our “Ciao Ciao” song.  (Farfallina means “butterfly” in Italian.) • Tuesday – Cooking We made bread with rosemary or oregano. Newsletter Summer Term, week 2

*Summer Term – Week 2* Dear Parents, 😊 Our topic for the week has been “* Science *”! We’ve had a fantastic time enjoying the beautiful weather, with the children spending most of their days outside playing with water and sand. In science, the children explored some exciting experiments with clay: -They made a * volcano * out of clay and watched it erupt using vinegar and bicarbonate of soda! -The children became * archaeologists * and discovered dinosaurs, creating their own fossils with clay! During * group time *, we read the story “Grampy Frog”, sang nursery rhymes, learned the words linked with spring season, talked about insects, and continued practicing numbers from 1 to 10 with a fun game called “What’s the Missing Number?”.
